This weekend the weather is looking good and we have two workouts on tap. Please try to be there 10-15 minutes early so that we can leave at the time listed.
Saturday - 9am @ the Gravel Parking Lot
We'll do Paradise Loop again, but this time we won't stop at Sam's..
I'll bring the maps from last week in case anyone needs them. At Ross's request, lets make this a brick workout! We'll do a 10-30 minute run along the Alcatraz route, so bring yer running shoes! (Hopefully I don't need to remind anyone that any of this is optional - if you don't want to run, don't!)
Sunday - 10am @ Tennessee Valley
We'll do a 30-60 minute run at Tennessee Valley. This is a great place to do trail runs, especially early in the season - lots of hills, and we'll take it at an easy pace.
For those of you who have never run trails before - you're in for a treat! Most trail running (include this one) is NOT a lot of technical leaping over roots and rocks, dodging nature at every turn. Instead you're on a wide, packed dirt trail running away from the cars, enjoying the views. The packed dirt is better for your legs than pavement, and the air is fresher!
In true bad ass style, we'll meet at the start of each workout and start off together. Look for other riders / runners who are your speed, and stick with them. We'll meet up at the end.
After Tennessee Valley, I'd love to hit the Dipsea Cafe for breakfast...
As usual, locations can be found at the Workout Locations page.
